What is mindfulness based therapy?

Mindfulness-based therapy helps clients discover greater awareness of their thoughts, emotions, and bodily sensations in the here and now, while learning to respond to them with acceptance and acknowledgment rather than with judgment. This approach is proven to help reduce the impacts of anxiety and depression.

Do we work with professionals experiencing burn out?

Yes, each of our therapists, Mallory, Linda, and Amanda have immense knowledge around that topic!

Affordable Private Pay Options for clients?

Yes, we provide affordable private pay options for clients who live in Illinois, Indiana, New Jersey, and Arizona. Many clients choose private pay because it offers greater privacy, flexibility, and control over their treatment. Insurance companies require a mental health diagnosis and can place limits on the type, frequency, or duration of services. With private pay, we can focus on your goals and needs without involving a third party in treatment decisions. However, insurance may reduce your out-of-pocket costs, so it's important to weigh both options based on your priorities and budget.

Do you accept insurance?

We are in network with the following:

  • BCBS/Anthem

  • Cigna/Evernorth

  • United Health Care/Optum/UMR

  • Aetna

We have an excellent practice manager who can assist with checking your benefits prior to your intake appointment. If you have out-of-network benefits, we will provide services to you a self-pay client.

Some helpful questions you can ask your insurance carrier are listed below:

  • What are my mental health benefits?

  • Do I have to meet a deductible before my sessions are covered? If I do, what is my deductible?

  • If I do not have a deductible or I do not have to meet it, what is my financial responsibility per session?

  • How many therapy sessions does my plan cover?

  • How much does my insurance pay for an out-of-network provider?

  • Is approval required from my primary care physician?

What states do we serve?

How do I know therapy is right for me?

We believe that everyone can benefit from therapy, whether they are happy, depressed, or somewhere in between. It gives you a chance to truly invest in yourself. Therapy provides coping strategies and problem-solving skills for anxiety, depression, and stress (work, academic, relationship, etc.) and can help you gain a better sense of self.

Is therapy confidential?

All sessions are confidential except the following due to the Illinois Mental Health Confidentiality Act:

  • Suspected past or present abuse or neglect of children, adults, and elders.

  • If the therapist suspects there to be a harm to the client, others, or the therapist.
